A Look Into Preliminary Portfolio Season

Third semester is almost over and to say that time flew by would be an understatement. The last 14 weeks disappeared just like that! We’ve finally been in the studio for longer than an hour in what feels like 2 years. Sorry 2020 but you’ll never really count. Crazy to think that we will be entering our last semester as students in just a couple of weeks. HELLO CHRISTMAS BREAK!

With the end of the semester comes time to reflect on everything we have learned this semester. We’ve been working on branding ourselves, which is super exciting and is what has inspired this particular blog post. As well as different aspects of our future business plans. Fun aspects include establishing a starting day rate. Which when I saw mine I thought I had done the math wrong because I thought “heck, no one is gonna hire me for that much a day”

We have had the most incredible opportunity of working with so many different people this semester including some absolutely beautiful humans through MIM! (Models International Management)

We have also been working on our preliminary portfolio in preparation for our last seamster to get us ready to really put ourselves out there within the industry. You’ll find some of the images that are apart of my portfolio here

Another amazing opportunity that I am looking forward to in the new year is field placement! Field placement offers the amazing opportunity to connect with fellow photographers in the industry and really get our foot in the door so that after graduation we have a solid network to lean back on.

A new semester brings lots of opportunity to grow as a photographer and as a student. I am so excited to be back in person for classes! (Even if it does mean I have to be on campus and functioning for 9am on a Monday)

Ill be back soon with another update! be sure to subscribe to our newsletter so you never miss a post!

See you soon!
